Credit Benchmark is a FinTech data analytics company, offering access to an entirely new source of information: the consensus credit risk view of the world’s leading banks. These unique credit risk indicators help deliver a greater understanding of the credit quality of entities around the world.
We are a rapidly growing SME and are looking to hire a self-driven, detail oriented Financial Controller to join our London office.
The role/responsibilities
The Financial Controller will report to the Finance Director and CEO and will manage and support day-to-day accounting functions (including A/R, A/P, payroll, treasury/cash management, monthly management accounts, expenses, coordinating with UK/US advisors on tax filings). The Financial Controller would work closely with HR, Corporate Development, and other departments.
We are looking for a mid-level Financial Controller who is a strong self-starter with the willingness to learn and develop as the company moves into the next phase of its growth. The successful candidate would be-a qualified financial professional with a background of in-house finance or from a professional services background.
What we are looking for
• Relevant experience in financial control or analysis
• Self-starter: proactive with an ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
• Calmness under pressure and excellent prioritisation skills
• CA / CPA / ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent qualification
• Advanced MS office skills
• Thorough understanding of financial control: income and expenses
• Strong accounting skills with knowledge and experience of UK GAAP preferred; no previous tax experienced
required
• Strong communication skills (both written and spoken)
• Strong team worker and partnership skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Eligible to work in the UK
